Expedition in the Lut Desert

Lut Desert, recently inscribed as world heritage, is the twenty-seventh vast desert in the world with its unique features and has been known as the hottest point of the world for years. We will discover and visit the diverse natural attractions of the Lut desert and continue our journey with visiting attractions of historical cities of Iran including Tehran, Kerman, Mahan, Isfahan, and Yazd in 5 days of this expedition. Day 1. Arrival at Tehran, staying at a hotel in Tehran

Guide welcomes you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel.

Day 2. Tehran city tour, staying at a hotel in Birjand ( HB)

A visit to the great capital of Iran can be fascinating given that they are inscribed on the World Heritage List including 300-year-old palaces, and its museums. So, we will visit Golestan Palace, National Iran Museum, Bazaar and Imam mosque on this day. After lunch, from Mehrabad airport we will take off to Birjand, the center of South Khorasan province.

Day 3 to 7. departing to Nehbandan, staying in camp (FB)

In these 5 days, we will have an exciting, special and indescribable adventure in an area of 4000 KM sq. (320 KM long and 160 KM width). We’ll visit the Kaluts, the Nabkhas (Nebka) and the high sand dunes, Martian mountains (miniature) and Hamada (ridge and rocky plain).

Day 8. Exiting the desert, staying at a hotel in Mahan (HB)

On this day we’ll leave the desert to Mahan and get some rest in the hotel. We’ll visit Shazdeh Persian garden (a universal registered place) and the shrine of the great mystic, Shah Nematollah-e Vali in this city.

Day 9. Kerman city tour, staying at a hotel in Yazd (HB)

We’ll head to Kerman by car to visit the Bazaar and Ganj-Ali Khan complex in the morning. After lunch, we’ll depart to Yazd.

Day 10. Yazd city tour, staying at a hotel in Yazd (HB)

We’ll visit attractions of Yazd all day long. Including, Dakhma, Fire Temple, Dolat Abad Garden, Jame mosque, Fahadan neighborhood, old town neighborhood, and Bazaar. (which has recently been registered on UNESCO World Heritage list)

Day 11. departing to Isfahan, staying at a hotel in Isfahan (HB)

We’ll Yazd to Isfahan in the morning. On our way, we will visit Single Monarch Mosque (Jame mosque) in Nain and then we’ll have a short rest at our hotel in Isfahan, we are going to visit Khaju Bridge and Si-o-Se pol.

Day 12. Isfahan city tour, staying at a hotel in Isfahan (HB)

In the morning, we will visit Imam Mosque, Āli Qāpu palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and bazaar in Imam square (Naqsh-e Jahan Square) which is the masterpiece of Safavid era in Iran. After lunch, in the evening, we will go for a walk in the Armenians neighborhood known as Jolfa and visit Vank Cathedral.

Day 13. Flying home
