Damavand, The Highest Peak in Iran

The Damavand summit is both the highest single summit in the Middle East and the highest volcanic summit in Asia. Mount Damavand was inscribed on January 13, 2008, as the first natural national heritage site in Iran. Also May 13 is a national day in Iran for Mount Damavand the Damavand Mountain Protectors Society celebrates it in the feet of Mount Damavand in Rinne City of Larijan. This celebration has also been inscribed on national celebration days.

Day 1. Arrival at Iran

Our guide welcomes you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel.

Day 2. Tehran city tour (HB)

A visit to the great capital of Iran can be fascinating given that they are inscribed on the World Heritage List including 300-year-old palaces, and its museums. So, we will visit Golestan Palace, National Iran Museum, Bazaar and Imam mosque on this day.

Day 3. Climbing to Kolun Bastak (4150) (FB)

On this pleasant day, you will have the pleasure of enjoying Alborz range’s nature and outlooks and also the opportunity to familiarize with the environment and climate before the main climbing. Then we’ll drive to Polur and stay the night at the federation accommodation.

Day 4. Heading to Polur (2250m) by car, mountaineering to the third station (4150 m) (FB)

As Molavi said: “we belong to up and we will go up”. At first, we will drive to base camp via 4WDs then we will get our mountain resort for night via an amazing walk.

Day 5. Climbing and landing the summit, staying at the third station for the night (FB)

There are hundreds of four thousand-meter-summits in Iran, but there is only one 5-hundred-meter! So we will walk on the roof of this mountain and enjoy of the most extensive outlook. After flaring up our emotions and taking pictures, it’s time to rest and spend the night in the shelter.

Day 6. Returning to Gusfand-sera and going to Tehran (HB)

Today, we’ll go down through mountain turns, to finish our mountaineering with satisfaction in the area of Gusfand-sera. Then we’ll drive to Tehran via the beautiful slope of Damavand.

Day 7. Return flight to home
