Cycling Around Iran

Iran is the newest emerging destination for intrepid adventurers. Cycling Around Iran can give you stunning experience and exciting memories. In this trip, we will bicycle through the paths with different climates from Caspian Hyrcanian mixed with forests and mountainous regions to the Iran’s Central Desert. Circulating in non-tourist areas, intact villages and big cities will take you to deal with nature, culture and specific architecture of different parts of this vast country.

Day 1. Arriving in Tehran, staying at a hotel in Tehran

Guide welcomes you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel.

Day 2. Visiting Tehran city, staying at a hotel in Tehran (HB)

A visit to the great capital of Iran can be fascinating according to the fact that they are inscribed on the World Heritage List including 300-year-old palaces, and its museums. So, we will visit Golestan Palace, National Iran Museum, Bazaar and Imam mosque on this day.

Day 3. The summit of Damavand slope, staying at a hotel in Sari (HB)

In the morning, we will depart to Laar and pedal in the slope of Damavand summit (5671 m). After lunch, we will continue our way through a mountainous road toward the north.

Day 4. departing to Damghan, staying at a hotel in Damghan (HB)

In the morning, we will see Hyrcanian Forest that has recently been inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List and pedal in a path toward Badab-e Surt stepped fountain and visit Cheshmeh Ali on the way before getting to Damghan.

Day 5. cycling to the central desert, staying at the Mesr traditional houses (FB)

In Damghan, we’ll visit the Tarikhaneh Temple, the temple of the oldest mosque in Iran. Then we’ll go toward the south and the heart of Central Desert and visit the Colorful hills and pedal from Jandaq village to Mesr village. We will spend the night under the starry sky of the desert.

Day 6. departing to Bayazeh, staying at a hotel in Bayazeh (HB)

We will pedal in a road among sandy hills after breakfast. Then, we’ll visit Garmeh village and Bayazeh castle which is related to the Sasanian Empire and spend another night in the desert.

Day 7. Departing to Yazd, staying at a hotel in Yazd (HB)

On our way to Yazd, we will visit Kharanaq village and then pedal to Chak Chak Shrine among the rocky mountains. After our visit we’ll get a short rest and cycle to Yazd, a universal registered city.

Day 8. visiting Yazd city visiting, staying at a hotel in Yazd (HB)

We’ll visit attractions of Yazd city all day long, which has recently been registered on UNESCO World heritage list. During this day, we’ll visit the Dakhma, Fire Temple, Dowlat Abad Garden, Jame mosque, Fahadan neighborhood, old tow neighborhood, and Bazaar.

Day 9. Departing to Isfahan and visiting Nain, staying at a hotel in Isfahan (HB)

Before arriving in Isfahan, we’ll have a short stop to visit Single Monarch Mosque (Jame mosque) and then we’ll arrive at the hotel in Isfahan and after a short rest, we are going to visit and walk on Khaju Bridge and Si-o-Se pol.

Day 10. visiting Isfahan city, staying at a hotel in Isfahan (HB)

In the morning, we will visit the Imam Mosque, Āli Qāpu palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and bazaar in Imam square (Naqsh-e Jahan Square) which is the masterpiece of Safavid era in Iran. After lunch, we’ll have a short rest and in the evening, we will go for a walk in the Armenians neighborhood known as Jolfa and visit the Vank Cathedral.

Day 11. heading to Shiraz, staying at a hotel in Shiraz (500 KM) (HB)

On this day we’ll be able to compare the Islamic civilization with the Achaemenid era. We will step in the first capital of the great Achaemenid Empire and visit the tomb of the Great Cyrus in Pasargad. Then we’ll head to Shiraz.

Day 12. visiting Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rustam, staying at a hotel in Shiraz (HB)

In the morning, we’ll be visiting the 2500-year-old capital of Iran known as Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rustam. After lunch, we will go back to Shiraz and have some free time.

Day 13. City touring and visiting Shiraz, staying at a hotel in Shiraz (HB)

The cultural heritage of Shiraz is related to Zand dynasty and Qajar dynasty that we will visit the best architectural samples and mansions of these historical periods like Eram Persian Garden, Narenjestan e Qavam House, Arg of Karim Khan, bazaar and Nasir al-Molk mosque (Pink mosque). At the end of the day we’ll visit the tomb of Hafez, the famous Persian poet.

Day 14. Flying back home
